Configuration Management

BSTS provided life-cycle support services to maintain baseline changes for all phases of IT/IS functional infrastructure and information support services. BSTS followed the NJVC Configuration Management Plan and complied with all Configuration Management policies and procedures. The work involved the collection and maintenance of data describing hardware and software systems and products. This process included using a set of systematic controls and processes to keep information up-to-date and accurate.

BSTS developed, processed, maintained, and provided configuration management documents as directed by the NJVC Deputy General Manager, Program Support Office and the NJVC Senior Configuration Management (CM) Engineer. Functions that were performed included, but were not limited to: configuration identification; configuration control; configuration status accounting; performing configuration audits; reviewing Requests for Change (RFCs); coordinating impact assessment process; reviewing Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs); participating in engineering review boards and configuration management boards; participating in readiness reviews; and ensuring conformance with configuration management directives.

BSTS’ best value approach earned documented commendations from senior managers on multiple occasions. BSTS SMEs were well-known for their knowledge of and adherence to client and IC partner policies, instructions, regulations, standards, and procedures as well as their technical and management contributions.
